The Vancouver-based collective WAREHAUS, founded in 2014, is committed to facilitating interdisciplinary projects and connecting artists in different stages of their careers.
In 2016 Artistic Directors Akeisha de Baat and Megan Hunter ventured into screen territory, teaming up with filmmaker Gemma Crowe to create the documentary style film EnTrench – an inside view of WAREHAUS as an emerging company. The film screened in July 2016 at Cascadia Dance and Cinema Film Festival at The Dance Centre in Vancouver.
The collective’s recent 2017 film endeavour, Continuum, is a collaboration with filmmaker David Phu and original composition by Tim Rich (Crooked Walking). You can catch the premiere at the Festival of Recorded Movement (FORM), on June 17, at The Goldcorp Centre for the Arts in Vancouver.
