Coming up November 6th through 10th in Toronto, the production Rare Mix by Toronto Dance Theatre will feature works by company founder Patricia Beatty, Montréal guest choreographer Jean-Sébastien Lourdais and Artistic Director Christopher House. The program includes Beatty’s iconic modern dance duet Against Sleep (1968), the bold physicality of Lourdais’ Etrange (2012) and House’s opera-inspired work Four Towers (1993).House also presents Vena Cava (1999), a dramatic contemporary work coursing with high-flying action, showcasing the strength of the dancers. The current cast includes Johanna Bergfelt, Val Calam, Robin Dempsey, Brendan Jensen, Kristy Kennedy, Matt Kwasnicki, Louis Laberge-Coté, Brenda Little, Graham McKelvie, Jessica Runge, Matt Waldie and William Yong.
