Thrill the World

Thrill The World 2009 Toronto

Numbers and videos are still pouring in, but so far it looks like approximatley 23,000 zombies from around the world simultaneously danced Michael Jackson’s Thriller this weekend in the record breaking attempt Thrill the World. This entire project is the brainchild of Canadian dancer/choreographer/teacher Ines Markeljevic: “We want to bring dance to people all over the world. We want to remind everyone that before you believed you couldn’t (dance) you did. We want to connect the world, in fun, celebration and dance. And to show that it CAN be done. It’s not impossible. It just hasn’t been done yet.” On top of Toronto’s contribution to the total, check out the videos below to see other Canadian events performing the dance.
