#TBT to Cissy & Bobby on the Lawrence Welk Show

Famous American dancers Cissy King and Bobby Burgess are seen here in this 1975 episode of The Lawrence Welk Show, entertaining audiences with their versatility, as they show off styles like the Charleston, the jitterbug and the “new rock ‘n’ roll dances” of the 1960s and 1970s, like the pony, the mashed potato and the twist. As Welk says in his introduction of the pair, “they are experts in just about every style of dancing.” Burgess and King were a star duo on the show from 1967 until 1978, though Burgess was a regular until the final episode in 1982.
