Chor-rnn: after 10 minutes of training

“It takes ten years, usually, to make a dancer” according to Martha Graham. Although Martha never had computer technology as a pupil.

Generative technology is taking leaps and bounds, and now, Swedish developer Peltarion and the Scandinavian Lulu Art Group have developed a system, “chor-rnn” that can actually teach itself to dance some sweet, sweet moves.  By capturing five hours of contemporary dance movements, the data was input into a form of technology that actually analyses the information and then creates dynamic responses, in other words, dance moves. Watch it teach itself to dance over forty-eight hours.
