Public Recordings - relay

relay

relay is a collaborative choreographic experiment for eight dancers and two musicians by Toronto based dance company Public Recordings. Choreographer Ame Henderson invited a group of artists to come together to make a performance that ask questions about the politics and possibility of being together. relay investigates modes of togetherness through the examination and thinking of the unison gesture, looking for ways to move together without abandoning individuality. At the same time this work unearths the dancers past performance memories. The traces of past works become a point of departure for the groups shared investigations.

Public Recordings in partnership with 10 Gates Dancing Inc. will perform their collaborative work Room with Sticks at the Vancouver International Dance Festival from March 27- March 29.
