The Montréal Salsa Convention takes place over the May long weekend at the Hyatt Regency Montreal and Complexe Desjardins. Running Thursday (May 19) through Monday (May 23), the convention celebrates Latin dance through competitions, workshops and performances. The ethos of the event is accessibility, inviting dancers and non-dancers alike to engage in the social nature of salsa, bachata and kizomba.
The convention will feature international artists including Anya Katsevman, Eric Balmir, Grupo Alafia and Jordan & Tatiana, as well as many Canadian artists including Vancouver’s Patrick & Scarlet, Montréal’s Rodolfo Molina and Victoria’s Salsa Caliente. The five-day dance event will culminate in performances on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
