Kokoro Dance Performance at OFFSITE


In this video, Canada’s pioneering butoh company, Kokoro Dance, perform a site-specific work as part of the 2013 Vancouver International Dance Festival (VIDF). The work was developed in and performed in relation to Vancouver-based artist Damian Moppett’s installation Large Painting and Caryatid Maquette at Offsite, the Vancouver Art Gallery’s outdoor exhibition space. This month, Kokoro Dance performs at the 2014 VIDF (the company was instrumental in establishing the annual event) including free, public work at the Roundhouse Turntable Plaza (March 15 at 2pm and 4pm) and an adaptation of their 2003 Sigur Rós inspired piece ( ) at The Roundhouse Centre (March 13-15).
