Lost in Motion

Featured in this short film Lost in Motion, directed by Ben Shirinian, is the physicality, articulation and trace forms of Guillaume Côté, the film’s choreographer and principal dancer with The National Ballet of Canada since 2004. The film was produced by Leslie Aimée Gottlieb with the support of Bravo!FACT. The work is described in the YouTube notes as a work in which, “A young man loses himself in his environment so that his movements reveal the world that exists in his imagination, transcending reality through his muse of dance.”Coming up next month in Toronto, Côté will be dancing the role of Prince Florimund in The Sleeping Beauty (March 10th though 18th), and will also perform in The Seagull (March 21th through 25th).Be sure to check out the September 2010 issue of The Dance Current print magazine for an item featuring Guillaume Côté.
