Jerome Bel's "The Show Must Go On"

Kicking off tomorrow at the PuSh Festival in Vancouver, France’s Jérôme Bel presents a group of 20 locals in The Show Must Go On. Casting theatricality to the wind, this productions has become Bel’s signature work, provoking audiences with humour, irony and nostalgia. The PuSh Festival describes this work as “a delightfully subversive game of anticipation and expectation that blurs the line between spectator and spectacle.”This stop-motion video stings together the work in-progress of the 2008 staging of the work at the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival. Check out the video below for peek at the “Headphones” section of the show.
