The Canadian Aboriginal Festival took place November 17th through 20th in Toronto. Now in its 18th year, this multi-disciplined event offers shopping, food, dancing, lacrosse, contemporary music and more, and is highlighted by Canada’s largest Pow Wow. This year’s Pow Wow theme was “Saluting Our Warriors” past and present.The Pow Wow attracts over 1000 dancers from all over North America, many of whom compete in different styles, including Traditional, Fancy, Grass and Jingle. Dancers may gain points through participation in Grand Entries, intertribals, exhibitions and contests. This video shows a clip from the Men’s Fancy competition.
