Coming up April 9th in Ottawa, the National Arts Centre presents the Chinese company BeijingDance | LDTX performing works by Ma Bo, Li Han-zhong, Sang Jijia, Liu Bin and Song Tingting. On the bill are October, Solitude in Numbers, All River Red and an excerpt of The Cold Dagger.The Cold Dagger is a ensemble work by choreographers Li Han Zhong and Ma Bo, who have styled a dance that integrates the dynamism of martial arts with a fluid contemporary lyricism. According to the presenter’s website, the “dancers are life-sized pieces in an intricate match of go, the traditional Chinese weigi game.”
