Ballet Jörgen Canada recently posted to YouTube this insight into the work of company dancer Cristina Graziano, seen here rehearsing in studio with Artistic Director Bengt Jörgen and refining her performance of Waiting from Robert Desrosiers’ Rendezvous. This piece will be joining the Classical and Contemporary Ballet programme, which the company begins touring in January with stops in Guelph, Coquitlam, Yellowknife, Toronto and Truro.Coming up on November 16th, the company presents Ballet in the Studio, an intimate in-studio presentation of new works, current repertoire and other special viewing opportunities. Held at the company’s home in the Casa Loma Campus of George Brown College, such events also connect the audience with the artists, including introductions from the choreographers and a chance to meet the dancers after the performance.Be sure to check out the December/January 2008/09 issue of The Dance Current print magazine for an article on Ballet Jörgen Canada.
