“I would listen to Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev and hear the hip hop in it,” says ballet and break dancer Victor Quijada. He and Anne Plamondon co-direct the Montréal-based Rubberbandance Group, creating works that blur the line between ballet and breaking.
