My body is an archive of my experiences, my sensations, my history, my ancestors.
Su-Feh explores these ideas through story-telling, song, movement and our electronic devices. Along the way, she creates an intimate space that is part ceremony, part conference, part confessional.
The Things I Carry is a work that Su-Feh developed while participating in Migrant Bodies, an E.U.-sponsored choreographic project which took place between 2014-15, aimed at opening up a civil and artistic reflection on migrations and their cultural impact for the European and Canadian societies.
If you missed it when it first premiered as part of the Migrant Bodies Project in Vancouver in February 2015, here are a few opportunities to catch this work
For the 2009 edition of the Festival TransAmérique in Montréal, Philip Szporer, Marie Claire Forté and I each contributed impressions and reflections. Here’s Part 2.
Digital Folk is part video game, part costume party and incorporates live music and dance. As an installation presented by Plastic Orchid Factory as part of Dance in Vancouver and DIY@DIV it was presented as a looping performance that took place on November 23 through 24 at Left of Main in Vancouver.
