Appearing in this year’s Festival TransAmériques, will be Paul-André Fortier’s latest work, Solo 70. This piece, created in collaboration with Étienne Lepage, is bound to be a fervent encounter of hopes and desires regarding the changing of time, and what shall change along with it. With Jackie Gallant performing live on the electric guitar, Étienne Pilon performing text by Étienne Lepage, and Paul-André Fortier dancing among them, the three artists come together in a “clash of conventions and languages in search of a common goal” (Étienne Lepage, Fortier Danse-Création).

Lourdais’ work is concentrated on somatic states and he speaks in the programme notes about “refin[ing] the body’s state of awareness.” What’s clear in Bleu is the importance of touch.
