Romeo and Juliet by Alexei Ratmansky, November 25 – December 5, 2015. The New York Times critic Alastair Macaulay wrote “of the six versions [of Romeo and Juliet] I have seen by choreographers alive today, this is much the best” and the Los Angeles Register hailed it as “a Romeo and Juliet for our time”
Le Petit Prince is both a perfect and a problematic choice. Perfect because the story is already furnished with all the necessary components for a conventional ballet, and problematic because Le Petit Prince is actually a dark and confusing book.
