Embodying artistic diversity in technique, form, and presentation, KasheDance ushers in a new genealogy of Afro-contemporary dance drawing its inspiration from the Diaspora. This program includes excerpts from choreographer Kevin A. Ormsby’s latest work, Re-imagining: TPM (Time Place Memory). KasheDance explores the musical interrelationships of the classical period in Europe and Africa while the pulsating polyrhythms invite the audience to ponder on the importance of traditions in contemporary life.

This performance is part of the Free Concert Series in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre, presented by the Canadian Opera Company. For more information about the Free Concert Series visit coc.ca.
