A triple bill including “Herman Schmerman”, showcasing William Forsythe’s trademark synchronistic style, “1st Flash” by Jorma Elo, a highly musical, frenetically-paced piece originally created for Nederlands Dans Theater and Medhi Walerski’s “Petite Cérémonie”, which was constructed by asking what ‘life in a box’ meant to company members, and exploring restriction as both constraint and opportunity.
Ballet BC’s Program 2 featured two world premieres by choreographer Medhi Walerski. Both exemplified the poetic beauty of life in progress.
