Presented by the Grands Ballets’ National Centre for Dance Therapy (NCDT), the International Symposium for Dance and Well-Being will feature more than 40 national and international specialists, who will discuss realities, issues and innovations relating to health and well-being through dance and movement. The lectures, panels and workshops are intended for professionals, students and the public, with the goal of offering a chance to discover and deepen the audience’s understanding of varied approaches in addition to exchanging ideas with highly regarded national and international names in the fields of dance, health care, research and innovative methodologies. The NCDT believes that dance can be adapted to all populations and contribute to the well-being of people with specific needs: for example, the elderly, people with Parkinson’s disease, with Down’s syndrome (trisomy 21), autism, intellectual disabilities and stroke.
