Making their long-awaited National Arts Centre debut, the acclaimed Hong Kong Ballet presents a joyous mixed program. Choreographed by Li Jun (Principal Dancer with The National Ballet of China), Dancing with the Wind is a free-flowing all-female work with an aesthetic that is unmistakably Chinese. Spanish dancer and choreographer Nacho Duato’s all-male Castrati combines strong movement with a disquieting androgynous quality. Polish dancer and creator Krzysztof Pastor’s In Light and Shadow is a witty tour de force of elegant Baroque courtliness.
