Wei Shen moved to Toronto from Shenzhen, China in 2008. She studied management and finance at the University of Toronto and worked at the Ontario Public Service. Since 2009, she has been writing for the UTChinese magazine. Passionate about literature, classical music and visual arts, she is looking to launch a career as an auteur filmmaker.

Director Stanley Kubrick was once mesmerized by Napoleon Bonaparte. Choreographer John Neumeier’s similar obsession with “Le Dieu de la Danse”, Vaslav Nijinsky, has crystallized into the National Ballet of Canada’s production Nijinsky.
