Kayla Hoolwerf

Former Intern

Kayla Hoolwerf grew up in Nova Scotia, spending all her spare time in the dance studio, competing in jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and even dabbling a little in highland dance. Her passion for dance and storytelling brought her to Toronto where she studied journalism at Ryerson University while performing as a member of Ryerson’s Urban Hip Hop Union. Her bubbly personality and positive outlook took to television in 2013 where she was the summer host of Eastlink Magazine Nova Scotia. You may have also seen her at the Rogers Centre performing the seventh inning stretch during the 2014 Toronto Blue Jays season, as a member of the J-Force.

Kayla was an intern with The Dance Current between April 2015 through June 2015.
