Emilie Durville graduated from Roland Petit’s Ecole Supérieure de Marseille in 2001. She started dancing freelance in Belgium and joined la Compania de la Comunidad de Madrid under Victor Ullate’s direction in 2003. From 2004 to 2013, she danced at Les Grands Ballets Canadiens where she became first soloist in 2011. Through her career, she worked with many international choreographers including Mats Ek, Jiri Kilian, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Christopher Wheeldon, Shen Wei, Christian Spuck, Peter Quanz, Didy Veldman, Stjin Celis and many more.

Since 2014, Durville has been freelancing as a performer, teaching ballet for professional dancers and directing rehearsals for several independent choreographers as well for Ballet Kelowna since 2017. She enrolled in women studies course at Concordia University, she took part of video-dance workshop and is presently studying journalism for dance with Philip Szporer. Durville is proud to be part of the voguing community in Montréal.
