Anne Dion

Interim Assistant Editor

Anne Dion is a Toronto-based writer/editor continuing her dance education at City Dance Corps. With a background in cultural studies and modern literature, Dion brings her passion for communications and publishing with her to The Dance Current. She joined The Dance Current’s team in 2018 through the practicum program at Ryerson University where she completed an MA in modern literature. Before moving to Toronto, Dion lived in Montréal where she earned her BA in cultural studies and world cinema from McGill University in 2017. During that time, Dion became the Head Editor of Slate, McGill’s undergraduate film journal, and took on the role of VP Journals, overseeing the operations of all English department publications. Her dance background goes back to her early childhood, with a focus on contemporary and ballet. From 2010 to 2012, she studied contemporary dance under Emma Portner at Leeming Danceworks in Ottawa. Dion has been an Editor for PACE Magazine since 2017 and she is the current Poetry Editor for Toronto’s White Wall Review. Her work has been published in both Ottawa Life Magazine and PACE.
