Anna Paliy

Intern

Headshot

Anna Paliy is devoted to dance, painting and languages — a triad rooted in a childhood spent between Ukraine, Hong-Kong, and France. Across countries, she practiced competitive rhythmic gymnastics from age five to seventeen, combining training in classical ballet, acrobatics, and circus arts. Anna completed her Honours BA in Comparative Literature and Global Narratives at Western University in London (2014) before relocating to Toronto to complete her MA in Comparative Literature (2015) and now an upcoming PhD in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies, both at the University of Toronto. She hopes to unite contemporary visual culture and multilingualism with the history of dance in her creative and academic writing. She is also a softie for fairy tales, comic books, and Cirque du Soleil. Anna's online portfolio can be found here.
