What's In Your Dancebag?

Johnathan Morin

Water bottle

I always have a water bottle in my bag. I’m always thirsty, so this is just a no-brainer.

Rhythm & Sound t-shirts

I always bring extra t-shirts because they’re a great way to self-promote!

Tennis ball

This is a lifesaver! I don’t have room in my dancebag to fit a foam roller, so I just carry a tennis ball. I use it to massage sore areas on my legs and also to roll out my feet after a long day of classes or rehearsals. I find I can really get to the exact point where my muscles are aching with the tennis ball because it’s so versatile.

J.P. Apothecary menthol pain relieving rub

My second lifesaver. I use this all the time on my sore joints and muscle pain. You name an ailment and it probably works on it. I’ve also used this for insect bites! I never leave the house without it.

Headphones and charger

I usually take the bus because I don’t drive a car, and on my long commutes I always like to have my headphones so I can jam out to music. My charger is a must because all my music is on my phone for teaching. A dead phone means I’m in trouble!

A must for any tap dancer. You never know when you’ll need to fix your shoes.

Deodorant and cologne

Gotta stay fresh and smelling clean!

Tap shoes

I literally almost never leave home without these. These are my moneymakers. If I forget these, I’m in trouble!
